I didn’t plan on using “Winter” in the name of two pieces in a row, however, earlier this evening we went to a Kansas City tradition for the last 37 years, Winter In The Park, which is a drive-thru nighttime display of strings of lights set to animate in various entertaining ways from frogs catching snowflakes on enormous outstretched tongues to a patio-daddy-o Santa smoking meats on an outdoor grill, and numerous other variations on holiday absurdities crudely yet effectively animated.
