I enjoyed reading about this song, and 'The Trouble with Transposing.' I also liked how you have a system for going through the assorted key sigs, time sigs, and accidentals. I'm getting used to reading your melodies. I suppose I should attempt playing them next.
Actually, I don’t have a system for time signs, just tonal centers / keys, which sometimes interferes when I’m thinking along more atonal lines.
How it works is I know what the tone center and modality will be before I start and USUALLY as I open the notebook some kind of musical gesture will start playing in my head so I just note it down and watch what happens. Most of these are literally composed in about the same amount of time it takes me to write them down. Setting them in easyABC is much more time consuming, partially because I consider it fair game to tweak the music in various ways up until it’s published, a process I’ve dubbed “polishing a turd.”
I COULD have a system for meters too, but I don’t much see the point in it as I’m doing a pretty reasonable job here mixing them up anyway.
The whole idea here is, yeah, would be nice if some people were playing them. I would really enjoy hearing someone’s take on one of these.

Even if I don't succeed.
Thanks.
