I've been rehearsing several of these pieces with a jazz combo I've put together. Eventually I plan to post some recordings of us here. These pieces really aren't meant to exist as these ABC gchord playback files but as live performances by musicians that understand how to expand and improvise from lead sheets. My wife hates the audio I post on here but it's too much work for me to create fleshed out audio files for every one of them.

Thank you just the same. If you have it, it's very nice. And the ABC playback is better than nothing at all. I use ABC playback to find errors in my own transcription.

Goes out pretty timidly. Make a statement instead. Otherwise like the saxophones.

Zhou Long used to level similar criticisms at me - said my pieces should go out with a bang more often. On the other hand, Paul Rudy said he loved the endings I put on my pieces.

Studies show what people remember the most is how a piece of music starts, then how it ends and the rest is kind of lost. I like odd endings and generally try to avoid ending on the tonic note. To paraphrase Big Dan “T,” like having conversation during gestation I consider it coarse and vulgar.

Arrgh, no ability to edit or delete notes - that should rest how a piece of music STARTS…
