055 - Actions Have Consequences

I find it difficult to not address the current geopolitical situation as much as I have lately because it’s so overwhelming bizarre and unique (not something I frankly wanted to live thru). I was going to title this The FAAFO Phase (spelled out - look it up if you need to) but decided to go with a title that was way more anodyne.

However, I don’t think the folks responsible for our global anxiety have any clue, or concern, for how much of a powder keg they’re cultivating. I can’t imagine this lasting four years without coming apart at the seams. I’d be surprised if it lasts four months, or four more weeks for that matter.

Here lately I’ve been doctoring these up occasionally by tossing a MIDI file into Ableton and playing a little with the orchestration. I don’t fiddle with the performances so they still sound pretty boxy and inexpressive, but the change in voices are sometimes interesting. Sometimes, like here, I think the plain piano version sounds nicer overall.
