War Crimes
And I’m back, that didn’t take long did it?
You’ll notice I’ve changed the title of this blog and I’m no longer numbering the posts because there will not be 365 of them this year. The program I use numbers the sheet music so I couldn’t help that.
I wasn’t even planning on posting anything today but I also wasn’t expecting to wake up to find the miserable excuse for a “leader” we’ve been saddled with would’ve decided, after killing who knows how many civilians in boats off the coast of Venezuela supposedly in the furtherance of “controlling drugs” though he’s pardoned I’ve lost count of how many drug dealers, to invade a sovereign nation and, unbelievably, kidnap the president of that country, along with his wife, ostensibly to “bring them to justice” here in America, because we all know after seeing the mob he launched at the capital building on January 6, he’s all about law and order, and all of this was done unilaterally, at his behest, without any of the necessary approval of congress, which is constitutionally required for any and all acts of war.
And if you can’t see how what he’s done constitutes multiple War Crimes, I hate to break this to you, but you’re in a cult. It doesn’t matter how bad of a dictator Maduro was, that doesn’t make it legal. And that wasn’t even the rationale anyway. It’s obvious Trump loves dictators. That was a Wag the Dog level excuse.
Sorry for starting this new approach to my blog on such a dismal footing, but starting 2026 with a fresh illegal war and going so far as to admit in a news conference it’s a grab for another country’s oil reserves just didn’t sit well with me.
Still, Happy New Year!
