I decided to go ahead and give this one a full piano treatment just for fun. Instead of chord symbols I added a left hand part and beefed up the right hand.
This more than quadrupled the amount of time it took me to set the music for todays post, so even though the results are worth the effort, I simply don’t have the time to do this with every piece, though I may start including a few more like it in the future.
Also, the full arrangement takes two pages.
Henry Cowell composed the first Anger Dance that I know of. I’ve composed two so far - this being the third. The idea is to continue to take the D.S. until you’ve pounded out most of your anger, then play the last repetition, which has an ending.
To my embarrassment, I just discovered I can make the music bigger on the page - I just assumed I was limited on the width. Oops!
It’s a shame that it takes so much longer to use the piano sound - presents the work much better. There is an automatic “carnival carny” kind of flavor to the simple tones.
