341 - Plug This In
This will teach me to download audio plugins that are not, shall we say, from bonafide sources, though I’m not complete sure that’s the problem.
Whenever I install new audio software, in this case the latest version of Dorico, it scans my plugin’s folder to load them. This involves the software scanning the plugins themselves to make sure they’re not damaged and will work with the software. There is a batch of plugins I have that source vintage audio gear such as clavinets, Wurlitzers & the like that literally takes a couple of hours to scan. Dorico started scanning those plugins when I started setting the music below and is STILL scanning them as I post this.
