286 - Keen Edge

Spent some time over the last few days sharpening various kitchen and pocket knives. They’re literally razor sharp now.

I don’t know how many of you attempt to play these from the music or how many of you don't bother with it at all, but to be clear, the upper, melodic voice is the only one that really matters if you’re sight reading or playing them. The additional 2nd voice in most of these is added later to keep me entertained via counterpoint, or to help clarify the harmony, and doesn’t necessarily need to be played. I rehearse many of these with a group that gets together weekly and I never worry about the 2nd voice myself.
