269 - The Drazy Hoops

Over the course of this long slog keeping up with a daily chunk of music I’m starting to notice I often have favorite styles paired with certain key center / modality combination. In this case pieces in Bb minor modality are typically morose and almost dirge-like. This might be because I associate Bb minor with one of Bach’s more powerful preludes from Book 1 of the WTC:

As to Drazy Hoops, well, if you know what that means you’ll get the pun, if not, it’s okay - accept the mystery.

Update. When I titled this piece I had no idea a band existed with name Drazy Hoops! The title does not in any way, shape or form have the least bit of anything to do with them.
