250 - Happy Birthday to Me

Yeah, yeah it’s my birthday but don’t make a big deal out of it.

This is probably the shortest piece duration wise I’ve posted here up to now in homage to the dwindling lifespan days such as today represent.

When young eons elapse between these events, but as they accumulate it changes to mere moments. Too bad it isn’t the opposite.

Astute observers of patterns might wonder why this is in C# minor instead of B minor. That was a screw-up on my part. Not paying attention. Further evidence of birthday brain decay syndrome. When the slot for C# minor comes up in a few days I’ll use B minor then everything will return to copacetic. I could’ve easily transposed this piece down a whole step instead and saved the trouble, but the lower voice is already pushing ledger line limits as is.
