236 - It Had To Be The Worm Moon
Growing up I knew the term “Blue Moon” but always thought that was just a figure of speech that somehow made its way into a popular song. I didn’t know it was actually a label for the 2nd full moon in a month.
Likewise, the term “Harvest Moon” which also made it’s way into a popular song.
I’ve since learned that of course EVERY full moon has a name / label, sometimes more than one.
Since to the best of my knowledge nobody has written a song about the Worm moon (the last full moon of Winter) it’s time to fill that void.
Pretty sure a Worm moon can never also be a Blue moon.
For whatever reason this tune has had more views than any of my other posts up to this point, and by a wide margin at that.
I don't troll for "likes," but I find it interesting that despite the interest it's generated, doubtless because of the title, nobody seems to actually "like" it.
Thus must be the consequences of using the Locrian mode!
