211 - What a Depressing Flick
Without going into detail we fell victim to online hype about a new movie that just came out which is supposed to redefine the whole “found footage” genre (one I find interesting when done well).
It doesn’t. It defines boredom followed by depressing nonsense.
The filmmakers had no clue how to build suspense, or rhyme or reason for that matter, nor were they particularly skilled at creating characters you care about.
Sound design was okay.
