191 - Spam Musubi

If you’re unfamiliar with Spam musubi it’s basically sushi made with Spam. Sauted spam with a glaze (typically teriyaki) on seasoned rice wrapped in seaweed (nori sheets).

While that may sound repulsive to some, that’s a knee jerk reaction. It’s actually pretty tasty, not to mention quite popular in parts of North America, especially Hawaii.

I make it regularly, usually ineptly. Today I made some and really nailed the seasonings in the rice. It was the best batch yet.
