167 - Burnt Toast

Was ruminating about the differences in roast levels for coffee from light (city) to dark (full city + to Vienna) and it occurred to me it’s very much like the differences between fresh baked bread and toast.

Overly dark coffee is like burnt toast - all you taste are the results of burning the beans. The flavor of the coffee itself is almost gone.
