159 - Twilight in Laurie

The Laurie in the title refers to Laurie, Missouri, a small town in the central ozark region, near the Lake of the Ozarks, and close to the vacation house my brother had. Before he died and things went to hell we used to take advantage of staying at the place. It was an easy drive and a nice lake-front property with every convenience you could want just a few minutes away in Laurie.

This isn’t one of my better tunes, but it’s interesting enough to pass along. The title was somewhat inspired by Raymond Scott’s Twilight in Turkey, a vastly superior tune. I was staying at my brothers place when I jotted this down and I was thinking about spy movie music / themes when I wrote it. Not so sure I nailed those down, but I tried anyway.
