131 - Me & Her & The Hermaphrodite Chicken
Really didn’t have time to do much more than a short tune today - tomorrow’s will be back to usual length.
To make up for the pitiful length of today’s Tune I’m including a bonus from a couple of years ago:
Bonus 1 - The Hermaphrodite Chicken
One afternoon on a day in December of 2020 I was rehearsing with my friend Pat Jones at his brothers place in Independence Missouri. His brother, Kelly, happened to have several chickens and turkeys and other similar permissible-in-the-neighborhood livestock in his back yard, and while we were in the middle of rehearsal he came in the room to show me his hermaphrodite chicken. This chicken laid eggs but also possessed a rooster comb and spurs, and, I assume, cock-a-doodle-doo’d in the morning. It was odd looking too.
That was all the inspiration I needed for a tuna-day.
At that time I wasn’t composing these diligently every day so this is kind of a one off.
