125 - Dueling Baguettes

This past week I’ve been playing mandolin in the University of Missouri at Kansas City’s production of the Massenet opera, Cherubin. I’m really enjoying it. In the scene before I stroll on stage with my mandolin to play the lovely aubade Vive amour qui rêve a couple of the characters duel with baguettes. Because I’m backstage while this is going on and thus can’t see the English translation of the libretto being displayed above the stage, I STILL have no clue what any of this is about!
