106 - Faces on the Wrong Side of the Window
When I was quite young my brother thought it would be a funny gag to take some green lipstick and use it to paint one of our friends faces into a really ghoulish mask then have her pop her head next to where I was sitting by a window open to the dark night.
This not only terrified me it literally permanently scarred my brain. To this day, nearly 60 years have passed and I can still see that ghastly face and lolling tongue.
And I cannot abide windows open to darkness. They creep me out. I have to close the curtains.
I don’t think he meant to permanently screw me up quite that much!
Since it’s Halloween, seemed like a good opportunity to share that story.
