108 - Back Biter
Literally.
Night before last I woke up in the middle of the night with an intense itch in the middle of my back.
The next day it was bothering me some more and that’s when I discovered the source was a disgusting tick that had decided my back was a smorgasbord of delights and was having a snack.
Luckily we have a tool for removing such pests. Unfortunately for me whenever I get one of these bites it takes a long time for the swelling to go down and the itching to stop.
Equally unfortunately for the harmless insects in my backyard (where this one originated), they had to succumb to a treatment of insecticide I applied this afternoon to hopefully mitigate further back bites (biting insects seem to love my back).
