101 - Kancel Kulture

History is replete with examples of really creative people that are themselves pretty awful examples of humanity who have either committed despicable crimes or are just insensitive brutes that happen to have creative chops.

Only in the last couple of decades though have we as a culture decided it’s appropriate to, essentially, cancel their artistic output, putting them out of work, and shaming people that still support them, which is kind of a shame because creativity and beauty can sometimes originate in cesspools.

But this only basically applies to the performing arts. In politics it won’t stop you from becoming president.

I was musing such things when I composed this. There’s no excuse for respelling the title, but my policy is to generally leave older tunes alone and post them as is.
