081 - March of the Blithering Idiots

It’s been my experience one of the most difficult emotions to express musically is humor, and by this I mean using purely musical means, not stringing together funny sound effects like Spike Jones to get a laugh. Sad music is easy, just getting a smile, much less a laugh, not so easy. Frank Zappa had that gift, but then again, he could express just about anything he wanted musically.

I’m not sure todays tune is necessarily “funny,” despite the title, however, I was definitely trying to inject some humor into it.
