064 - Zap, You're Gone
Power outages have wreaked more than the usual amount of havoc for me tonight.
Tuesday evenings is our weekly mandolin orchestra rehearsal. The orchestra was gathered, tuned and ready to play when suddenly it was plunged into darkness. Well almost - several of the members use tablets so their surprised faces were illuminated.
The power came back on for a few seconds then off then on then off and stayed that way. A phone call informed us it would be a few hours before power was back on, so we disbanded for the evening. So much for the rehearsal.
Shortly after I got home the power here then shut off for just a few seconds. Unfortunately, after my computer rebooted I discovered the last two tunes I posted here, Strathspey #2 and The Soft Ambient Roar were both lost from my archive as I’d stupidly not saved the ABC file, so, zap, they’re gone and will need to be recreated from scratch, similar to America.
