056 - Matriculation Waltz
This is an example of a daily composition being more along the lines of a diary entry than a tune. Of course, at the time in 2012 I never imagined I would end up posting these online in a blog like this.
This was the tune I composed after coming home from my matriculation exams when I enrolled in the doctoral composition program at UMKC. I was pretty happy to get them behind me but wasn't feeling up to much of anything very complicated, thus this relatively simple waltz with mostly conventional harmony.
