028 - Peaches Everywhere

We have several fruit trees in our backyard including two peach trees. The Elberta, has pretty consistently produced fruit every year but the O-Henry has only ever made a handful of peaches yearly, which is, or rather was, a shame because the fruits from that tree are amazing - huge peaches literally having a vanilla flavor that you only detect when you eat one freshly picked.

This year the O-Henry decided it was going to produce peaches, and did it ever, so many, in fact, that it damaged itself by losing several branches due to the excessive weight of all the fruit. I hope it’s going to be okay! Between the two trees I have no idea what we’re going to do with all the peaches, but good thing we have several huge dehydrators!

Next, plums, then pawpaws (yes, we have three of them on our property) and finally apples. Too much fruit is always better than not enough!
