024 - Worms Turning
I’ve taken one of my favorite artificial modes and added an occasional flat to further confound this somewhat wormy sounding piece.
Note this is the same exact mode / scale used in post 006 - Music For A Deserted City.
Now that I’m notating everything on a tablet with a stylus, sharing the original manuscript is pretty easy. I’m doing it here so those of you that might be interested can see how I occasionally make small changes to the original idea when I’m setting it in ABC.
Note the addition of a Bdim chord, some rests replacing ties, and minor melodic changes. The piece could’ve stood fine as notated, but I can’t resist a little tweaking here & there.
My ears found nothing unusual but my eyes had to get used to odd key signatures.
First we see a C# without the F# G#, then we see the F# G# without the C#.
