004 - Melancholy Carnivals
Another piece from 2012.
The first pieces I’m posting from past collections of Tuna Day will all come from the first time thru, 2012, and first I’m going to post pieces that I found useful in other contexts. In this case, Melancholy Carnivals was reworked and combined with another Tuna Day piece to form the first movement of a suite for mandolin orchestra, “Coming Attractions.” This piece was submitted to the Concurso de Composición para formaciones de Plectro “Ciudad de Logroño”/ “José Fernández Rojas”Edición 2015 event where it won 2nd place. Unfortunately, no performance exists.
